My name is Elena Burrows. I’m a qualified and experienced counselor with adults, teenagers and children.
I graduated from Salford University in Manchester with a BSc (HONS) Professional Counselling Degree and have obtained years of experience in Counselling.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which is the major regulatory body for counselors in the UK. It ensures that the therapeutic support I offer you is of the highest standard.

Stress is usually our body’s reaction to life situations. Stress is affecting our feelings and thoughts, and then our bodies.
Anger is often our reaction to stress.
Many people can face difficulties at work: i.e. performance issues, poor job fit or it can get even worse: bullying, harassment, discrimination, etc. Some people can sort it themselves, some people manage work stress by talking to a mental health professional..
Eating disorders can appear with stress and when people stop controlling their food intake. People can eat too much or too little, or struggle to eat anything at all. Eating disorders can bring emotional distress, health problems and in severe cases can cause life.
It’s important to notice your child’s behaviour. How they act gives clues to how they feel. If you suspect your child is finding it difficult to cope, look out for the warning signs.
The teenage years are notoriously difficult for both parents and children. Young people are going through a period of intense psychological and physical change, as well as facing pressures at school or with friends.
All forms of abuse can cause serious harm, psychological stress and suffering. Being a victim of any form of abuse is a traumatic experience.In the event of violence, you should always seek help!
Avoiding conflict is common when people are feeling vulnerable to express their true feelings and thoughts. This can cause frustration, loss of sleep, stress and other issues.
I have appointments available both day and evening, up to 10 pm.
I realise many people have busy schedules. I aim to make counselling accessible, whether you are working,
busy with school or have evening commitments.
